sharing’s caring…

...

despite the average Facebook user having a staggering 338 friends, most consider only around 100 of them to be actual friends, so clearly not every memory is meant for that wide an audience

not everyone wants their information and content visible to just anyone.  sorry, not everyone needs to see your toddler’s chocolate covered smiling face, no matter how cute it may be.  social media has made it easier to share memories with others, but if you’re one of the 40% of people who haven’t restricted access to your profile, then whatever you post is there for everyone to see.  unlike social media, rewind gives you the control to share what you want, with who you want, for as long as you want

got an urge to share that perfect holiday poolside shot with your inner circle ?  there are now two ways to share posts from your rewind timeline.  when you hit the arrow (share) button, you can either share in-app with friends and family who’re also on rewind by connecting securely, via email.  once accepted, you can easily share and swap chosen moments between timelines

but what if your mum or bestie isn’t on rewind ?  no problem… you can still share your memories with them.  by clicking the public link option, you can generate a secure web link that takes whoever has it to a locked version of that memory to read the details and open any attachments.  for added security and privacy, you can even set the link to expire after a day, a week, a month, 3 months, 6 months, a year… or never !

it’s like sending personalised invitations to your nearest and dearest, granting them access to see all the stuff that shouldn’t be posted to socials, without worrying about those moments languishing on a big-tech server somewhere for all eternity

it’s social sharing, but on your terms… the way it should be
